republicans. mitt romney can't figure out which side of the debate to come down on like you saw in his speech yesterday and the six attempts before that. the guy doesn't understand the world as it exists today. >> stephanie: right. well, yeah i think madeline albright referred to him calling russia the number one foe. he said in europe where putin's russia cast a long shadow over american policy. madeline said of the various weird things that romney said his position on russia is truly out of date. >> yeah, those parts of the speech were from the height of the cold war, and apparently nobody told romney that the century changed.
